The Frosty lamps from Luxa make use of the same glistening frost-effect film that has made our Sparkler range the best-seller for the last two years. With the Frosties, rather than printing onto the frost-film, we first coat the outside of the glass with a metallic silver layer to reflect back inside all the light from the warm white LEDs, and then we cover this with a layer of Christmas Crimson or paint which has an amazing look and feel of satin. The really cool bit is when a fine laser that has been programmed with our Santa and new Snowman designs burns off these two layers of paint back to the frosted glass to reveal a bright, sparkling Winter scene.
